The Generation Logistics Awards 2025 is all about raising awareness of the next generation of professionals driving the sector forward.
It’s a unique opportunity to give those individuals the spotlight they deserve, to hero the game-changing work they’re doing.
By getting involved you can be part of the Generation Logistics mission to build an understanding of logistics as the rich and diverse career path that we know it is.
We welcome colleague nominations and self-nomination across all categories.

Award
This award celebrates an early talent colleague who has gone above and beyond to have a positive impact.
Whether that’s within the workplace, the local community, or broader society. Whether championing sustainability, promoting inclusion, or leading charitable initiatives, this individual embodies the spirit of going the extra mile (and helps inspire others along the way).
Entry Criteria:
- Open to early talent colleagues (apprentices, interns, graduates, or those with less than five years’ experience in the sector) from sponsors, partners and partner members of Generation Logistics
- Evidence of positive impact made within the workplace, community, or society
- Demonstrates leadership, compassion, or proactive problem-solving
- Contribution must go beyond day-to-day responsibilities
- Open to both colleague nomination and self-nomination
The
Hidden Gem
Award
The Hidden Gem award shines a light on those who work quietly but powerfully behind the scenes.
These early talent colleagues consistently deliver outstanding work, demonstrate initiative, and support their teams with humility and dedication. Though they may not seek the spotlight, their impact is undeniable and they deserve recognition.
Entry Criteria:
- Open to early talent colleagues (apprentices, interns, graduates, or those with less than five years’ experience in the sector) from sponsors, partners and partner members of Generation Logistics
- Regularly goes above and beyond in a supportive or background role
- Shows strong initiative, collaboration, and reliability
- Makes a sustained and meaningful contribution to their team or department
- Open to both colleague nomination and self-nomination
The
Trailblazer
Award
The Trailblazer award recognises a standout early talent colleague who is setting new standards.
Whether through innovative ideas, project leadership, or simply rapid growth and progress on their professional journey, this person is actively helping drive the future of the logistics sector.
Entry Criteria:
- Open to early talent colleagues (apprentices, interns, graduates, or those with less than five years’ experience in the sector) from sponsors, partners and partner members of Generation Logistics
- Demonstrates innovation in problem-solving, project work, or process improvement
- Shows measurable professional growth and development
- Contributes to business impact or transformation in a meaningful way
- Open to both colleague nomination and self-nomination
The
Talent Advocate
Award
This award honours an experienced colleague who really champions and advocates for early talent.
From mentoring and coaching to promoting careers in logistics, the Talent Advocate demonstrates a passion for nurturing the next generation, and promoting the future of the sector.
Entry Criteria:
- Open to all employees from sponsors, partners and partner members of Generation Logistics
- Actively supports early talent development (e.g. mentoring, training, advocacy)
- Demonstrates leadership in promoting the logistics profession
- Shows sustained involvement in talent initiatives or sector outreach
- Open to both colleague nomination and self-nomination

Our esteemed judging panel is comprised of seasoned experts from across the logistics sector, bringing deep industry knowledge and experience to evaluate this year’s awards.
Leigh Anderson is the Managing Director of Bis Henderson Recruitment, the UK’s longest established & leading logistics recruitment company. With 36 years of experience, he has appointed over 1,000 people in new jobs across the UK, Europe, Australia and Asia.
He has appointed the CEOs and leadership teams for some of the UK’s best known logistics firms, as well as Supply Chain and Logistics Directors for FTSE 100 retailers. He also serves as a Board Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT UK).
As Senior Relationship Manager at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Alex Farkas leads the national partnership with the logistics and haulage sector, working with organisations such as Logistics UK, the Road Haulage Association, DHL and GXO Logistics.
His role supports industry operators across England, Scotland and Wales. He also works with large national employers and trade associations to help create a pathway into employment for jobseekers, particularly in sectors that are in high-demand or projected to grow, in areas such as logistics and haulage.
Jennifer Swain is the Director of Talent, Development and HR at Road to Logistics. She leads on talent strategy and solutions, focusing on Employer Branding, recruitment and retention.
With expertise in DEI, and experience supporting businesses to improve their diversity agenda, Jennifer helps organisations improve their workforce inclusivity and secure long-term talent, making logistics roles more relevant and accessible to a broader range of people.
