GENERATION LOGISTICS

is a sector-led, Government-backed initiative to find the next generation of logistics talent.

It’s an education and awareness campaign, primarily targeting 13-24 year olds, with a topline objective to protect the nation’s supply chains by actively addressing our sector’s skills shortages.

It’s also the first time that leading employers, trade groups and the Department for Transport have united behind a shared cause.

THE CHALLENGE

In direct response to detailed benchmarking insight with key target audiences, the Year One mission has been all about raising awareness and fighting misconceptions of logistics.

From vox pops to video stories, to interactive tools and all sorts of educative and engaging content, that’s been our focus.  

But now we want to press on, and redefine perception for a whole new generation. 

If you aren’t already, it’s the perfect time to get involved.

THE JOURNEY SO FAR

We set ourselves ambitious Year One targets to increase awareness by 25% and positive sentiment by 40%.

Based on our initial results, we’re on track to deliver both. Since August 2022 we have achieved:

  • 3.3 million+ engagements with campaign activity
  • 646,000+ site visits to generationlogistics.org
  • 455 million+ opportunities to see

WE KEEP MOVING

Year Two is all about building on success.

Millions have been reached already. But now we’re looking to establish Generation Logistics as a movement: a shared cause uniting the whole sector to attract and engage diverse future talent.

We’ll be focusing on young people and their educators, launching a brand new Education Hub jammed full of content and resources for teachers and career leads to use within the school curriculum.

As with so much of our campaign and content to date, the focus will be resetting perceptions of the industry, promoting prospects, pay and pathways, and placing logistics (and your brand) at the heart of the careers conversation.
