This contains a wide array of skills and specialisms, but essentially it’s the bit that ensures the infrastructure and equipment needed in the supply chain is fully operational, and working as well as it can.

As such it’s both repair and maintenance, as well as innovation and creativity (to make sure everything is fit for purpose in the modern world).

WORKSHOP MANAGERS

TECHNICIANS

Dependent on experience but it could be anything from £20K to £26K, for a more senior position.

Essentially you’d be dealing with a whole range of workshop issues. That might be ensuring a fleet of vehicles is in good working order, repairing those that aren’t, and troubleshooting any other vital technology that might need it.

Engineering is a specialist role, and it’s one that certainly requires qualifications along the way. However, there are opportunities to progress whether you’re straight out of high school and want to learn, or indeed if you possess a relevant degree or experience (and so already have a defined skillset).

People who love problem solving and fixing things, but who are comfortable working alone as well as in teams. You’ll also need to be numerate, good with technology, methodical and tenacious.

MOBILE TECHNICIANS

Dependent on experience but it could be anything from £20K to £26K, for a more senior position.

Essentially the same range of requirements as workshop technicians, except you’ll be on the road, often quite literally: fixing, repairing and maintaining vehicles, equipment and more as needed.
