Thomas Corn- Libra Europe

Company: Libra Europe

Role: Consultant

Since joining Libra Europe, Thomas has been involved in various projects ranging from transport analysis to solution designs. These projects have allowed him to travel extensively across the UK, visiting sites across multiple industries.

Thomas holds a university degree (Business Management from Northumbria) in a relevant subject, coupled with a foundational understanding of transport planning and modelling. This academic background has provided him with a solid basis to delve into transportation analysis and design within his professional goals.

He discovered his role through the NOVUS scheme, which he found particularly appealing due to its emphasis on project-based work, rather than following the traditional route. Thomas was drawn to the opportunity to grow and develop more rapidly through engaging in diverse projects. This focus on hands-on experience and tangible outcomes appealed to his career aspirations and professional growth trajectory.

Thomas has a longstanding interest in utilising and analysing data. His initial exposure to the practical application of these skills occurred within the realm of supply chain management. During this period, he found immense satisfaction in the tasks he undertook. Leading him to conclude that the supply chain and logistics industry was the right place for him.

“One aspect of my role that I particularly enjoy is collaborating closely with different clients to help them achieve their targets. I enjoy the diversity of tasks and projects included within my role, finding each new challenge both stimulating and rewarding.”

Thomas’s career highlight to date would undoubtedly be the successful completion of a recent project, which not only met, but exceeded expectations to such an extent that his team were invited back to replicate their achievements at a sister site. This was a recognition of the value of their work and the effectiveness of team collaboration and methodologies.
