Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Graduate Human Resources Advisor to join our HR team at our Spalding site.
As HR Advisor you will be responsible for delivering a seamless and efficient operational service to all areas of the business, through the provision of effective first line advice and guidance to the people managers.

As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the overall success of the site, and will report directly to the HR Business Partner.

We are looking for a recent graduate at the start of their HR Career and wanting to progress in a fast paced logistics environment.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8.30-17.30, offering a competitive salary, package and the opportunity to work with a forward thinking market leader.

Job responsibilities of HR Advisor include:

  • Provide an advisory service to the business on HR casework ensuring that it is efficient and applied with consistency, in the interests of fairness and to mitigate risks and escalating high risk cases.
  • Ensure the fair application of HR policies and procedures including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management and reward / recognition, through supporting and coaching Managers / Supervisors and liaising with the HR Business Partners to intervene if necessary.
  • Support with all Recruitment activities including the production of Job Descriptions, Person Specifications and arranging job evaluations and job grading via Group.
  • Participate in Selection activities, liaising with the Group Resourcing Team regarding interviews and the FW HR Analyst to arrange SHL assessments and supporting line managers as needed.
  • Maintain and continuously review the Company Induction process, ensuring that all colleagues experience a good on-boarding process.
  • Ensure that variations to terms and conditions are made in accordance with current rules and practices and that correspondence is issued accurately and timely
  • Liaise with Occupational Health for long term sickness and management referral cases, conducting home visits where necessary
  • Update the HR information system in a timely manner with all casework documents therefore ensuring MI data is up to date at all times.
  • Support and provide resource for the implementation of business change and TUPE transfers when necessary

Qualifications

To apply for the role of HR Advisor you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:

  • Confident approach, with the ability to challenge information.
  • Effective communicator at all levels, with the ability to forge strong relationships.
  • Logical thinker and can recognise how situations may be impacted by another.
  • Excellent IT skills including all MS Office packages and experience using a HR system.
  • Having or working towards a CIPD qualification is highly desirable
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willing to travel to other sites when required.
