Job Description

What’s the role?

£14,560 – Apprentice Wage until completion of apprenticeship 

Office-Based 

Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a HR Apprentice Administrator to join the team. You will be enrolled onto a CIPD L3 course in order to support your HR Development and kickstart your career.

The purpose of the role is to provide first line support on all HR related queries and administration, helping to provide an effective HR service to the business. You will support HR Consultants and Business Partners and echo HR processes across the business, whilst answering general queries through a shared inbox and issuing contract and making changes.

Main Responsibilities & Objectives: 

  • Be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries
  • Administer HR-related documentation
  • Ensure the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation
  • Process all leavers, ensuring necessary forms are completed, payroll is informed, remaining holidays are calculated and an exit interview is conducted
  • Maintain processes and workflows
  • Updating employee files
  • Support the HR Operations in various administrative tasks
  • Processing starters and leavers, within required timescales
  • Perform other administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and scanning
  • Assist Managers in conducting investigations, disciplinary and grievance hearings, providing support and guidance as appropriate and in line with current legislation
  • Maintain accurate databases including the HR Database, absence and holiday trackers
  • Responsible for the administration of employee benefit schemes
  • Undertake other projects as identified in the course of your work
  • Represent the company & values of the business, portraying a professional and business like image

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • Good level of competency in IT applications such as Outlook & Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Planning and organisational skills, high level of numeracy.
  • Conscientious and reliable.
  • The ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
  • Able to work as part of a team and/or individually.
  • Able to work effectively and communicate effectively to all levels.
  • Be professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general HR operation.
