Operations Co-ordinator

We are currently seeking an Operations Co-Ordinator to join our Transport team at our Sherburn site.  As a Operations Co-Ordinator you will be working in collaboration with the Transport Manager the role is responsible for the day to day operation of the site and driver workforce.

Salary: £25,000 per annum.

Working hours: Monday – Friday Days (07:00 – 17:00)

Job responsibilities of a Operations Co-Ordinator include:

• Responsibility for the reporting and escalation of vehicle and trailer defects to the fleet department and any key stakeholders
• Completing daily risk assessments of the yard and office
• Working Time Directive for the driver workforce to maintain depot legal compliance
• Recording and following through DVSA stops
• Pro-active coordination of driver CPC records, ensuring compliance is supported via internal training provision
• Proactively manage driver resource vs vehicle requirements to ensure customer demand is satisfied and that resourcing costs are in-line with budget.
• Upkeep of depot vehicle allocation including decom, additions and relocations
• Absence management and return to work notifications
• Pre-planned non-driving related requirements (NPT)
• VOR notification
• Driver holiday request submissions
• Driver shift pattern variations such as swaps and / or overtime
• Involved and takes ownership for carrying out D&G and first stage investigations

As an Operations Co-Ordinator you will possess the following skill, experiences and qualifications:

• Motivated, adaptable and highly organised.
• Experience in using the Microsoft packages in particular Excel, Word and outlook.
• Experience within a transport environment, however this is non-essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a pressured, fast paced environment.
